A few months ago I found a little starling trapped in a tub at my pasture… He was super scared. I almost didn’t notice him because he was silent as a mouse. But somehow he drew my attention.

He couldn’t fly out. So I pushed the tub on it’s side and stepped out of sight. I felt fear rushing through his little body. So I sent him some calming energy and showed him an image of how he could ‘step’ out of the tub into freedom. But he did’t move.

I had no idea what to do next… I then decided to step over toward the little fellow. I reached out with my hand toward him, and he jumped on my little pinky finger into freedom!

It was a beautiful sensation how his small weight for an instant rested on my smallest finger and yet how big his trust was to take that leap. I can still feel it…

How amazing is it to be trusted by another being that is fragile and how powerful is it to trust someone else when you feel fragile…

Weeks after that the little starling was part of my herd. He sat on the fence and jumped between my horses while they grazed until one day he flew away…
